Joshua Bell’s Gibson ex-Huberman Stradivarius of 1713
I’ve always feel a great soul from the sound of the violin, which always has the feel of carrying a great story, tragedy, sadness etc.
Yesterday, I was working on some work and found out the ever great classical violinist Joshua Bell is coming to Singapore to play, it hit me “OMG! Joshua Bell~!” Who wana go see with me? T_T

With his Gibson ex-Huberman Stradivarius of 1713, he’ll be playing with Academy of St. Martin in the Fields’ Chamber Orchestra.
I was reading up the history of his almost 3 centuries years old instrument which made by Stradivarius.
While reading it, tears really came to my eyes, such a great instrument with a past….
This violin which is light chestnut color with a reddish hue,
Having come a long way to reach Bell’s hands and not onto some industrialist, perfect =)
He sold his Tom Taylor Stradivarius for a bit more than $2 million and top up for the Gibson.
Great things really came a long way.
Instruments have their own life and soul.
And so does its player.
Finally passed!
After 12 years gap of stopping from Yamaha Grades, I finally passed my grade 6! With lousy results, but I PASSED! Thank god =D

Consist of 2 keyboardists, bassist, drummer and vocal.
All are really nice and fun people!

It’s this weekend! 19 to 21 March!
Do head down to Sunway Pyramid if you have the time.
There’ll be performances by many Yamaha School students too.
I belongs to one of those school stated, but sorry I am not performing =P
But do enjoy the show if you’re going.
I want to go and see the Stagea!
Almost 2 years
Of what? Electone learning =P
Yeah, started off in 2008. Didn’t realized it was so long ago already.
Let’s count the fees…… HAHAHAHAH nah, doesn’t mind it.
Because I have a good teacher, learn a lot from him in this not very long but also not very short term of 2 years.
He’s really a kind person, in every way I can see of.
Not only give encouragements as a teacher as he is, also as a friend.
Great teachers comes in many level, not only experienced and famous can be good.
Surprisingly inspiring is what I would describe him as.
And I’m still having fun what I am doing =)
And no, I’ve stop following grades for quite some time already.
Learning more songs week by weeks.
I lost count how many songs I’ve learnt already.
From the first week of leg *died* from stepping pedal, to now can step pedal without really looking or peeking but still not so accurate.
The leg needs its own brain I think lolx!
And yes, I’ve escaped many performances my teacher asked me to join =P
[I still have stage fright although I performed quite a number of times already with the band]
And he’s saying I can’t escape it the next round…gawd!
I donnn wannnn (I can so imagine him laughing if he ever saw this =P)
My Mimi? I still love it the most!
He’s still alive despite of the tortures he gets from me XD
Still sounds good as new ^^
Just hope the keys don’t fall off.
Actually it would be better if I have a better grade electone, it helps in my playing and expression, but what to do, one have to get used to what we have now and adjust accordingly when we get to use better models.
Just love using the EL-700 in school and occasionally EL-500 and Stagea ELS-01c at another place.
Pleaseeeeeeee ELS-01c appear in my school!!!!
I can’t imagine one day I would stop from this.
I got really comfortable in this circle to even get outta it.
Someone just reminded me that, people like us, are not odd or weird.
We’re just special in our own way, we are in another circle.
I am glad what I am getting from this and people that I gets to meet.
We still want to grow in this circle.
I do hope I will shine, in my own way.
I might not be a great musician/performer like many outside.
But I do hope I inspired some souls. ^^
Till then I guess I still need to work really hard, continue torturing Mimi
while praying an ELS-01c will appear? Haha!
And, I would want to make people who support me proud (you guys know who u all are ^^), I love you guys a lot!

Random things today?
Yea, totally random things i would like to say really.
First, as usual I sometimes goes to Yamaha official website to take a look around.
I am a lil surprised to see that they put up an ad about J course intake =) Nice.
But as I look closer, something’s not right….
Erm, they seriously need a proper designer/web designer and not to make info/image mistake to confuse people haha =P
Nah, no big deal =P But do keep guessing, fun.
And I was at Centrepoint this afternoon for lunch.
And there have one Yamaha.
So I randomly went in to check if they have any Yamaha Grade 5 Piano teachers.
But, seems the clerks are not really sure if they do have a teacher that teaches that grade.
Well, they were not even sure what I meant, so we shall refer it as SAC if that makes them understand better.
I hear them “mumbled” that they couldn’t allow me to just join in like that.
(Huh? I can’t? Why not? I wonder…isn’t that just like any Yamaha school?)
And then they said they need to refer to the principle for more info but they forgotten to take down my contacts. Hmmm…
And then I was curious bout the school, so I asked if I could visit around.
I like going to schools where I love the environment, seriously.
They’re a bit reluctant at first, but in the end one of them offered to bring us around.
I need to say the place is not bad, in the matter of the environment.
But facilities wise…I was a bit shocked to see very very old model electones used in classes. I was expecting at least Stagea Minis like any other schools.
But I only saw 1 room with 1 ELB-01. Sad.
Well, guess I’ll just continue my hunt for the best environment for my course.
I want a good facilities on top of the fees I’m paying, it’s not cheap ok…… T_T
And of course, a good teacher.
